max collins (any pronouns) is a sound designer, radio producer and podcaster born in Calgary, AB, Canada. max has a unique perspective on storytelling background in campus and community radio, and they use that perspective to make compelling, high-production-value podcasts for brands, newsrooms, and creative firms. In the nine years they've been in the radio industry, max's projects have received nods from the Ambie Awards,  the Signal Awards, the Webby Awards, the iHeart Radio Awards, and more.

With a keen interest toward recounting niche stories in digestable pieces, max's reporting on alternative queer culture has won accolades on the national level, and their work has been written about in The New York Times, Vulture, The New Yorker, IndieWire, Psychology Today, Chatelaine, and other local publications.

When they're not too busy designing soundscapes or writing scripts, max is teaching other people about how to make great audio. max has lectured at universities, guest-hosted workshops with Bad Academy, and instructed courses for the NCRA Podcast School, among others.
