HI, I'M MAX
I'm a four-time award-winning producer and podcaster born in Calgary, AB, Canada. With over seven years of experience in radio under my belt, I've now had a hand in making over 20 podcast series. My background in campus and community radio gives me a unique perspective on storytelling. Right now, I'm using that perspective to make compelling, high-production-value podcasts for brands and newsrooms.
I take a keen interest in recounting niche stories in digestable pieces. My reporting on alternative queer culture has won accolades on the national level, and my work has been written about in Vulture, IndieWire, Psychology Today, SAD Magazine, The Vancouver Sun, and other local publications.
When I'm not too busy designing soundscapes or writing scripts, I'm teaching other people about how to make great audio. I've presented to students at the University of Victoria, I've guest-hosted a workshop with Bad Academy, and I've instructed a course for the NCRA Podcast School, among others.
I like to swim, and I'm learning how to skateboard. I currently live in Vancouver, BC, with my girlfriend and our insufferable, lovable cat.
